Responsibilities:

  • Supporting end users with the maintenance of Jira and Confluence projects, workflows, permissions, users and security;
  • Work with application-level filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, and Jira administration;
  • Use Jira & Confluence to deliver creative solutions for non-standard use cases;
  • Daily responsibilities also include scripting, installing plug-ins, managing permissions in the tool, troubleshooting any application-related issues, configuring workflows, and creating new projects within the JIRA and Confluence space;
  • Manage licenses by tracking the number of licenses and identifying the need for upgrades. Provide timely notifications for license renewals;
  • Implement and maintain Jira plugins and integrations to enhance functionality;
  • Working as part of a project team to continually expand and enhance our Atlassian solutions as we migrate from on-premise to the cloud.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree (in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or related) or equivalent experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Atlassian Product Suite and hands-on experience configuring the product including workflows, permissions, users and security, application-level filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, etc;
  • Certification in Atlassian and previous experience with Jira Service Management and Jira Software is a plus;
  • Knowledge of tools and add-ins surrounding the Atlassian Product Suite;
  • At least 3 years of experience with Customer Support and working with Atlassian Products;
  • Atlassian Certified JIRA or Confluence Administrator;
  • Database experience with advanced query writing skills;
  • JIRA plug-in development knowledge;
  • Experience translating client business needs into software capabilities;
  • Fluent level of English.

Expected:

  • Ability to install JIRA/Confluence/BitBucket applications on a server from scratch;
  • Ability to fine-tune the environment for top performance;
  • Ability to work with Project Admins and other stakeholders to introduce new plug-ins or other desired changes to configuration;
  • Create an entire project scheme set from concept to functional operation;
  • Advanced workflow design and implementation including adding conditions, validators, and post-functions;
  • Manage users and groups;
  • Write Groovy and Java-script within the Script runner add-ons to increase process functionality;
  • Experience in maintaining application health from within the program UI (manage mail queues, monitor heap memory, perform add-on updates);
  • Ability to assist in or perform upgrades to core applications such as JIRA Server, Confluence, and JIRA Service Desk;
  • Alter appropriate server configuration files for additional application functionality;
  • Troubleshoot error logs within the application server to resolve application issues or downtime;
  • Perform server maintenance tasks for overall application health.
