We pride ourselves in building technology that solves real-world problems, and we need a talented backend developer to join us in this mission. As a Backend Developer at OSCAR, you'll play a pivotal role in architecting and optimizing our backend systems to support our rapid expansion. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to scale effectively, ensuring that our platform continues to deliver exceptional service to our users across all markets.

 

About the role

• Building APIs, making sure they’re properly designed and scaled.
• Thinking of features from scratch, system designing a solution that's fast but scales.
• Helping to decide which direction we should take OSCAR to become Europe's top players in the home services industry.
• Creating data pipelines, powering reporting and analytics.

 

About you

• 2+ years of experience working as a software developer.
• Experience working with Python, SQL and with ORM’s.
• Experience with API development and integration.
• Experience developing with a product-driven mindset in a fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to GCP.

Our process

The recruitment process will consist of four stages:

• Resume Screening: We'll carefully review your resume to assess your qualifications and fit for the role.
• Screening Interview: You'll have a first meeting with OSCAR’s CTO to discuss your experience, skills and enthusiasm for the role.
• Technical challenge: As the third step, you will be asked to prepare a technical challenge that demonstrates your technical proficiency and problem-solving skills.
• Culture Fit Interview: In the final interview, our founder and CEO will assess your potential to contribute to OSCAR's growth and success
