Back End Developer (C++)

Currently, we are seeking an exceptional Back End Developer who thrives on complex challenges, and is ready to seize this fantastic opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software using C++ (preferably C++11 or higher) with a strong focus on object-oriented principles and software architecture;
• Work with distributed software architectures, ensuring scalability and performance;
• Use GNU/Linux for development, shell scripting, and basic system administration;
• Collaborate in an Agile environment, leveraging Scrum frameworks to support team performance and continuous improvement;
• Contribute to cross-functional teams, acquiring new skills and ensuring full team ownership of the product lifecycle;
• Apply standard software engineering practices such as version control, use of IDEs, and data dashboards to maintain an organized development process;
• Implement DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing, analysis, and deployment to ensure a reliable workflow;
• Support and operate developed software, both during and outside working hours, ensuring high-quality service (with applicable extra compensation);
• Be willing to travel abroad for short periods as needed to support the product development cycle.

Requirements:

• +5 years of experience in software development;
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages and software architecture design;
• Significant experience with C++ (C++11 or higher);
• Proficiency with GNU/Linux for development, including shell scripting and basic administration tasks;
• Understanding of distributed software architectures and how to optimize for scalability;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Good communication and collaboration abilities;
• Fluent level of English;
• Living in Porto(hybrid role).
