Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines using Cloudera and GCP technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and analysts, to understand data requirements and implement effective solutions
• Optimize and fine-tune data processes for performance, reliability, and efficiency
• Implement and maintain data security and privacy measures to ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Cloudera and GCP technologies
• Strong proficiency in Apache Hadoop, Spark, and other Cloudera ecosystem tools
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataprep
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

• Cloudera and GCP certification(s)
• Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of DevOps practices in the context of data engineering
