As a Data Engineer Common Data Platform (m/f) you will work in a SCRUM team closely with the backend developers, solutions architects and UI/App developers to build and enhance the company's existing and future digital services within Continental Tires. For this position, you should have academic degree in Computer Science, IT, or related studies; at least 2 years of experience as an internal or external consultant / developer for data warehousing applications; experience supporting and operating a software system; affinity for the specific challenges of data integration from heterogenous sources; experience in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#); knowledge of data modeling in relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL); experience with data modeling in key value stores - e.g., HBase – (is a plus); experience with Apache Flink / Spark / Hive (is a plus); knowledge of CI/CD tools, like Jenkins (is a plus); ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders. You should be able to speak English.
