Full-stack Web Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled full-stack developer who is comfortable with both front and back end programming. You’ll be responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment to review, working alongside our creative team.

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js and Next.js
• Developing new back-end features for APIs using Node.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimising components for maximum performance and responsivity across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Thorough understanding of Node.js
• Experience of Typescript
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Experience of MongoDB database
• Experience of mongoose library
• Experience of Next.js
• Knowledge with newer specifications of EcmaScript
• Familiarity with review pull requests on Github
• Familiarity with responsive web design
• Familiarity with package manager tools (e.g., NPM, Yarn)
• Familiarity with code versioning tool GIT
• Familiarity with Express.js
• Experience with using 3rd parties APIs (e.g. Google Analytics, Hotjar, HubSpot) is a plus
• Experience with MongoDB Atlas is a plus
• Knowledge of linters and code formatters (e.g. ESlint, Prettier, Stylelint) is a plus
• Knowledge of AWS services (e.g. AWS Pipeline, AWS Amplify, AWS Lambda, AWS Deploy) is a plus
• Knowledge of GDPR is a plus
• Knowledge of cybersecurity is a plus

Degree in Computer Science, or Software Engineering or equivalent or relevant experience in the area;  

Needs to write and speak English;

Interest in working in a Med-Tech startup environment
