What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Head of Professional Services, as a Head of Center of Competence you are responsible for people management, drive competence excellence, implement COCUS sourcing strategy and provide technical pre-sales support.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge sharing, continuous learning and professional development
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and adaptability to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving IT landscape
  • Act as a liaison between your team and upper management to ensure alignment with organizational goals Work closely with Delivery Managers, Sales Managers and Account Executives to maximize team utilization, contribute to project success and organizational efficiency
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team to implement a recruiting strategy for your Center of Competence and recruit top IT talent
  • In alignment with the strategy of Head of Professional Services, contribute for a breathing organization, ensuring a resource planning balanced between internal and external staff
  • Coordinate with HR to contract external staff in case of need
  • Manage the onboarding of new team members, ensuring a smooth transition into the team, project, customers and, the company
  • Assign Center of Competence resources to support Delivery Manager creating winning technical and commercial proposal
  • Conduct regular performance assessments to evaluate team members individual performance; seek 360º Feedback from Delivery Managers and project peers
  • Provide constructive feedback and create development plans for team members
  • Recognize and reward high-performing individuals
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies together with your team and sales
  • Identify skill gaps within the team members and develop strategies for improvement
  • Implement training programs and initiatives to increase and improve the skill set of your team
  • Be part of the senior management team, taking on as your day-to-day responsibilities to define and communicate critical decisions related to the overall organization of the company’s structure and ways of working
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other areas of the organization
  • Address interpersonal conflicts and challenges promptly and constructively
  • Develop retention strategies to nurture a high-performing and motivated employees
  • Organize team-building activities to strengthen team cohesion
  • Work closely with HR Team to address actions to continuous development of eNPS [employee Net Promoter Score]
     

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Engineering, relevant field and/or proven experience
  • Solid experience in managing and measuring people performance
  • Expertise in conflict management, adept at navigating differences through open dialogue and fostering a positive workplace culture for an inclusive and collaborative environment
  • Mentoring skills such as providing feedback in a constructive manner
  • Strong capacity of influence effectively, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with an ability to challenge the status quo when required
  • A systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to all aspects of the role
  • Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Based on Portugal or Germany
