Role Overview:

We are looking for an IT Manager to join our teams into one of our clients in the telecommunications area, a Portuguese telecommunications company, with around 30 years in the national market.

What you will do:

Virtualized Solutions & Infrastructure Management:
• Oversee On-Prem-Datacenter/Private Cloud environments using VMware, Hyper-V, and ProxMox.
• Manage servers (HPE, DELL, Fujitsu) and storage (HPE 3Par, Alletra, hyperconverged infrastructure).

Backup & OS Management:
• Handle backups with VEEAM, manage Windows and Linux OS, and oversee Docker/Kubernetes containers.

Log & Security Management:
• Implement and analyze security logs using ELK Stack and Filebeat; monitor with Grafana.

Database & Microsoft 365 Administration:
• Manage MS-SQL, Oracle, Postgres, and Microsoft 365 (email, security, OneDrive, SharePoint).

Team & Incident Management:
• Lead a 5-member team and handle incident, request, and change management with root cause analysis and best practices.

What you are like:
• Experience in leadership roles or managing technical infrastructure teams.
• Experience with On-Prem Datacenter Infrastructure and virtualized environments.
• Experience in the architecture and support of virtualized environments, especially in VMware.
• Experience in administration of Windows Server, Linux, or SAN platforms in multi-site environments.
• Strong knowledge of Networking (LAN/WAN), DHCP, and DNS.
• Skills in MS-SQL.
• Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, Nagios, or SCOM.
• Knowledge of Hypervisors (Hyper-V, KVM, Proxmox), experience with MS-RDS, SCCM, and MS-Intune, as well as cybersecurity expertise, are valued.
