QA Engineer

Currently, we are seeking an exceptional QA Engineer who thrives on complex challenges, and is ready to seize this fantastic opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of mobile applications developed by the engineering teams, supporting quality across all stages of the product lifecycle;
• Champion and enhance best quality practices within product development teams, fostering a culture of excellence;
• Define quality standards and outcomes for mobile app projects, establishing a roadmap to achieve these goals;
• Write and maintain high-quality code to create or improve test frameworks, ensuring reliable automated testing,
• Account for key non-functional requirements, such as performance and security, in testing processes;
• Lead a self-organised agile team, managing delivery, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring transparency with stakeholders.

Requirements:

• +5 years of experience as a QA Engineer;
• Proven experience in organizations adopting a shift-left approach to quality;
• Strong background in mobile test automation and manual testing for mobile applications;
• Proficiency in mobile automation tools, including Android Espresso, Appium, and XCUITest;
• Practical experience with GitHub Actions, Team City, and Test Double;
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms, such as Applitools, SauceLabs, or BrowserStack;
• Understanding of cloud-based microservices architecture (e.g., AWS) and related testing challenges;
• Poblem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing technical issues;
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and changes in the mobile app space;
• Experience with a variety of testing methodologies to ensure quality across the product lifecycle;
• A growth mindset, with a proactive approach to challenging and improving the status quo;
• Understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies;
• Effective communication and collaboration skills;
• Fluent level of English;
• Living in Portugal.
