Role Overview:

We are looking for a Rollout Optical Engineer (DWDM) to join a global leader in telecommunications and technology, that has been active in Portugal for over 15 years. This company plays a pivotal role in the development of the country's telecommunications infrastructure, working closely with major telecom operators. (Lisbon - Hybrid 1x/week).

What you will do:

As a Rollout Optical Engineer you will be responsible for performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.

Directly reporting to Technical Director in project rollout phase to ensure project targets are reached on time and with quality.

• Handle of design documents upload to customer platform, follow up closely E2E process to ensure and push for timely deliverables approvals and proactively initiate next steps in project technical delivery process. (From design to final acceptance);
• Prepare and plan all project deliverables needed to start project deployment (HLD, LLD, BOQ Material List.);
• Support deployment plan preparation and daily follow-up and monitor field team execution of planned works, ensuring timely delivery milestones and quality requirements of installation;
• Ensure project meets customer and contract requirements guaranteeing that project is delivered on time and according to project Scope. (identify extra scope changes in design and deployment phases and inform Project team);
• Interact and work pro-actively with all internal and external teams as well as sub-contractors to meet project targets;
• Detect risks or outstanding situations and develop solutions to act on them on time;

What you are like:

• At least one year of experience in similar roles;
• Deep knowledge of DWDM technology;
• Knowledge and experience with DWDM equipment configuration (6800, 8800, 9800 equipment);
• Configure and install network devices and service. e.g., Servers, Optical Network Equipment (DWDM);
• Provide technical support for local/remote equipment configuration;
• Portuguese (Mandatory), English (Mandatory);
