We are looking for an experienced team player to join one of our multicultural Engineering teams, focusing on large-scale data pipelines. As an engineer here, your mission is to deliver robust, high-quality code in a continuous delivery environment. You’ll work in a small, cross-functional Agile team to design & ship features and evolve our infrastructure. As a Senior Software Engineer I, you are known for thinking on your feet, learning quickly, and owning a resolution problem. You enjoy solving complex problems while contributing to new ideas and techniques, leading to continuous improvement for the team. You enjoy close collaboration to find better ways to deliver great quality software in a high-trust Engineering culture.

Requirements:

  • Curious and with a growth mindset. Have a passion for continuous learning, seeking out opportunities to expand your knowledge, and stretching yourself and others to achieve goals.

  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals in system design, data structures, and algorithms.

  • Four (4) years of experience as a Software Engineer. 

  • Experience with Python and Spark.

  • Experience with CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience working with a team of engineers, and product owners in delivering a product to end-users. 

  • Responsible, team-oriented, and well-organized.

  • Excellent communication skills in English - both written and spoken.

 

Preferred:

  • One (1) year of experience building and operating large-scale data pipelines. 

  • Experience with Apache Airflow.

  • Experience with NoSQL data warehouses such as AWS Redshift, and Apache Iceberg.

  • Experience with OpenSearch, Django, Java, and Scala.

  • Able to own loosely defined features from technical design through completion, and deliver on commitments
