Position Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of the data platform, including test development to ensure seamless service delivery. As a senior team member, you’ll guide junior colleagues, contribute to design and architecture decisions, and play a crucial role in developing robust data pipelines and reporting systems.

Your Mission:

- Data Pipeline Development: Create and maintain scalable data pipelines using big data technologies.

- Data Platform Engineering: Engage in all phases of data platform development, including architecture, design, and testing.

- Collaboration: Work closely with team members in Porto and abroad to deliver high-quality data solutions.

- Cloud-Based Solutions: Leverage Google Cloud, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Terraform for data transformation, reporting, and dashboarding.

- Client Interaction: Expect some international travel, including a visit to the Netherlands to collaborate with our client's team.

Key Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, specializing in data pipeline development and data warehouse architecture.

- Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed computing platforms (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).

- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Proficient in SQL and experienced with relational databases and cloud-based data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.

- Hands-on experience with DBT (data build tool) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.

- Strong knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and ETL best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate.

- Fluent English skills (minimum B2 level) and willingness to occasionally work on-site in Porto.
