Senior Development Manager

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Manager to join our talented team in Porto. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, extensive experience in transformation projects, and the ability to thrive in a multicultural environment.

Role Responsibilities:

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing development team, promoting professional growth and ensuring a positive and productive work environment, particularly in multicultural settings;
- Oversee the end-to-end development process for transformation projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- The role includes a customer facing element to ensure client satisfaction and to support in the generation of new business opportunities;
- Providing clear leadership to supply chain members to ensure productive team working, efficient pricing, and meeting quality expectations;
- Setting clear programmes and assist in managing delivery in line with programme, budget and quality expectations;
- Understanding and managing risk throughout to protect and minimise exposure to Shared Agenda and its clients;
- Working alongside clients and consultants throughout the design and development stages of projects, providing advice and guidance when required on elements such as funding, legal, planning and procurement;
- Act as a liaison between the development team and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
 

We’re looking for someone with:

- 10+ years of experience as a Senior Development Manager, IT Project Manager, Delivery Manager or  similar position;
- Solutions architecture background is preferred;
- Excellent track record of pre and post development project delivery and programme management in the built environment;
-Solid experience with one programming language such as Java or Python; React is a plus;
-Experience in OS Linux, Openshift, PostgreSQL or other DB and Kafka;
-Strong experience with Agile methodology;
- Have effective and efficient time management skills;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Be able to implement new and improved ways of working;
- Experience of project transactions and supporting contract/legal procedures;
- Experience in large scale projects and/or transformation;
- Experience in operating in complex environments;
- Strong leadership skills to coordenate teams from different cultures and countries at the same time (Denmark, Norway, Italy, Portugal;
- Pro-active and sense of ownership;
- Be able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines;
- Availability to travel;
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
