Software Engineer for Hydro Operation

The Hydroelectric Asset Optimization and Management Department of EDP Generation has the mission of tasked with planning and managing activities related to the operation, maintenance, and optimization of the hydroelectric power generation system, maximizing value creation while strictly adhering to legal obligations, operational rules, and corporate sustainability principles, ensuring the safety of people and facilities. To support us in this role, we are looking to hire a Software Engineer for the Hydro Operation Unit.

Main responsibilities:

• Maintenance and development of software apps to support activity of the Hydro Remote Control Center;
• Development of processes and algorithms for operational data treatment, analysis and validation;
• Creation of Dashboards with EDP Produção operational information and KPI;
• Maintenance of the Hydro Remote Control Center System;
• Interface with various IT areas of the company, fostering effective collaboration.

 

Looking for people with the following requirements:

• Master's degree in Informatics and Computing Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar;
• Up to 3 years of professional experience with knowledge and experience in:
  • Programming languages: PHP/HTML; .NET C#; PLSQL; JavaScript;
  • Windows Systems Administration;
  • Oracle database;
  • Microsoft tools (PowerBI, PowerApps, Power automate, among others)
• Knowledge and experience in VBS, VBA, Python and OSI-PI tools (Processbook e Datalink) is a plus;
• Proficiency in English (both oral and written);
• Availability for occasional and short-duration national travel;
• Proactivity, resilience, collaboration, networking, and a critical and constructive spirit for problem resolution are highly valued competencies.
