SQL DBA

Stefanini is hiring SQL Database Admins to join one of our clients.

This is a full remote role aimed at Portugal-based candidates. This project has a planned duration of 1 year, with chances of extending.

Advanced English fluency – spoken and written - is mandatory.

We’re looking for SQL DBAs with at least 5 years of solid experience with:

• Creating data models to determine how data is stored in a database and how it can be accessed.
• Designing database structures such as tables, fields, indexes, views, and triggers.
• Optimizing database queries.
• Planning and designing database structures for new systems.
• Establishing rules for data integrity and security protocols within the database.
• Creating documentation for database designs and structures.
• Experience with ETL, Batch jobs, Middleware (such as Talend and Apache Camel). This skill is quite important. If not there, then willingness to learn is crucial.
• Technologies: SQL proficiency (preferable MS SQL Server), data modeling and design expertise.

 

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience with migrating legacy data into new database structure.
• Managing database access and permissions.
• Java, Backend development: Java programming language, Spring Framework (or comparable), RESTful web services, Object-oriented programming (OOP), Git and version control.
• Agile Methodologies (Scrum).
• Experience with issue tracking and planning tools (e.g. Jira).
• CICD Continued integration tools (Hudson, Jenkins, GitHub Actions etc.)
