YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSABILITIES:

• Maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers and virtualization infrastructure.
• Monitor datacenter health using management tools and analytics, responding to hardware or software issues as they arise.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems and assessing impact of issues.
• Handle business-critical IT infrastructure incidents, providing necessary support and resolution in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
• Help build, test, deploy and maintain new servers or network equipment as needed.
• Perform and automate regular backup operations, implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery and failover procedures.
• Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause and provide technical support when needed.
• Plan, document and implement operation activities in the IT infrastructure and IT Network.
• Collaborate with external partners to ensure the best practices and recommendations are applied to IT infrastructure.
• Define, plan, and execute High Availability and Disaster recovery plans.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s degree required; BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
• Availability to work on a hybrid-model (2x a week in the Office in Lisbon).
• 2+ years of experience in Windows based operating systems (Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019) and IIS Server.
• 2+ years of database, network administration and system administration experience in high availability and 24/7 environments.
• 2+ years of experience with PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of computer TCP/IP networks, DMZ design, Firewall configuration and routing.
• Knowledge of Virtualization Systems using VMWare.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration.
• Knowledge of SAN/ISCSI storage.
• Experience in backup tools like VEEAM or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of implementing IT operations best practices.
