Team Leader Engineer

This could be the perfect challenge if you have:

• Minimum 10 years in backend engineering with a strong emphasis on Python.
• At least 3 years of experience leading engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and managing performance.
• Proficiency in Python, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, REST APIs, WebSockets, and messaging protocols (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Advanced experience with Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and containerized environments.
• Expertise in pytest for TDD and maintaining test quality.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate, guide, and inspire team members to achieve goals.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide technical direction for the engineering team, ensuring adherence to best practices in software development, design patterns, and scalable architecture.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
• Design and implement scalable APIs and microservices, leveraging Python and cloud-native technologies.
• Architect event-driven systems and serverless applications using AWS services, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
• Write clean, professional, and maintainable code following principles like SOLID, DRY, and KISS. Lead code reviews and enforce high standards.
• Oversee deployments and infrastructure management using AWS CLI, Docker, Kubernetes, and other relevant tools.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product and Design, to align technical solutions with business goals.
